Description
Time to recognise that British hops can compete on intensity with the very best. Ernest was first selected for farm trials when it was discovered to have good tolerance of wilt disease in the 1953 tests run by Dr Keyworth at East Malling Research Station surveying untested breeding lines. It is relaunched today for its intense aroma capabilities. We introduced it from the Wye hops collection to showcase the potential for British hops in modern craft classics. Alpha ranges from 5 % – 7%.
