Kent is rich in hop growing and brewing history. Visit the stunning Hukins Hops estate and see how a modern hop farm combines with craft brewing to give you an experinece to remember.

Step into the 18 foot high hop gardens and learn how hops are grown today to meet the dynamic craft beer market.

We’ll visit the hop picking and processing facility to see how great british engineering combine with modern technology to pick 320,000 hop plants in just 30 days of harvest!

Finish in our tasting rooms to learn how the hops you have seen are selected, sampled and take a craft beer tasting where you will learn what hops you like and help you develop your understanding of modern craft beer.

FAQs

What should I wear?

Make sure you have some shoes to feel comfortable walking over broken ground in the hop gardens. Hiking boots, wellies or trainers depending on the weather. Bring a rain jacket just in case. This is England!

What time will my tour start and finish?

Tours start at 10am and run until early afternoon but don’t worry you will receive information from us in advance

What will we do on the tours?

We will firstly take a tour into the hop gardens to learn more about the art of hop growing, we will then visit the hop picking and processing facility to see how hops are picked, preserved and prepared. You will then learn how to ‘rub’ hops and discern the flavours that brewers look for before pairing the samples with some beers with an expert guided craft beer tasting
